The walkabout, organized by Barry, was an attempt to accomplish a few different goals. Foremost it was to improve the photography and eye for design of all the participants, faculty included.
It had the added benefit of the different cohorts mixing together in a common activity.
Personally I wanted to experiment with limiting myself to 1 lens for the entire walkabout. For this I chose a relatively cheap, 8mm, fish-eye lens mounted on an APS-C sensor DSLR.
